Calgary International Airport - “Transformed”

This baggage carousel was commissioned by Parks Canada and Alberta Parks. The brief called for a celebration of the many - over 70 - parks easily accessible from Calgary. Our solution was to take the objects that people travel with - luggage, books, clothing, toys, camera, etc. - and ‘transform’ them into elements of the natural world, of these parks, suggesting that even the luggage wants to ‘get back to nature’, and you should, too! It was the most photographed display at YYC during its tenure, and a huge conversation stimulator and photo op! ‘Travel decals’ documented the many locations possible, to prompt participation on the visitor’s “Alberta Adventure”.
