Eagle Butte and 70m Mile Butte Interpretive Trail

Working collaboratively with a larger creative team, Metro supplied the graphics and illustrations for this series of interpretive signs installed in key locations throughout Grasslands National Park. Panels were designed to enhance visitors' perception of the Eagle Butte and 70m Mile Butte trails, calling attention to Grassland's unique natural and cultural heritage. It was also important to the client that panels fit unobtrusively into the landscape. To achieve this look and feel, shaped panels that mirror the park's distinctive landscape were executed, installed low and angled for easy viewing. Each sign features a dynamic cut-steel border as well as individual die cut symbols representative of interpretive content. Hand-drawn illustrations supplement photography and add variety and interest to the overall graphic set.
