Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre
Whitehorse, YT
Government of the Yukon
Metro was awarded the redevelopment project for the Beringia Centre’s “Great Hall” - the introduction and overview to the entire Centre. Consisting of a large main gallery leading to further halls and rooms dedicated to specific research topics, this large space needed to be content dense and flexible, as special events hosted there would require the interpretive rodents to be movable. We designed a series of Science Stations, each supporting a different branch of palaeontological science used to study their magnificent fossil collection, which were further showcased in sealed display cases in front of a large mural, illustrating these same species in their habitats.
