Sulphur Mountain Board Walk Interpretive
Banff National Park, AB
Parks Canada
Our objective was to design and fabricate 18 interpretive panels and custom pedestals as part of a complete refurbishment of the self-guided walking trail atop Sulphur Mountain. The exhibit blends the natural and cultural history of the park through engaging content, including peak identification, flora and fauna, and trail history. Custom aluminum pedestals with die-cut lettering in both official languages provide durable, visually appealing displays that withstand harsh mountaintop weather. The dynamic panels connect with the environment, offering a self-directed learning experience for diverse audiences. Hand-painted watercolor illustrations enhance viewer engagement, and the design includes a playful hide-and-find challenge for children, ensuring an enriching experience for all visitors.
